Senior Books: graduated student picks

Every year, the graduating seniors who are working in the library are invited to pick a favorite book and say something about what it was like to work in the library.

Senior Books

Each year, we ask graduating seniors who work in the library to select a book that they particularly enjoyed reading, or that has special meaning for them, to include in our collection. An honorary book plate bearing the student’s name and year of graduation is placed inside the cover of our collection’s physical copy in recognition of their service to the library. Their choices are showcased in this online collection, along with thoughts they have shared about their book and about working in the DeWitt Wallace Library.

Selections from Across the Years

Student Employment

Library student employees handle a wide range of tasks including staffing public service desks, consulting in computer labs, mending worn-out materials, processing new materials, shelving books, designing web pages, and handling office-related work.
