Clear your mind and decompress with a jigsaw puzzle! Take home one of the 500 to 1,000 piece puzzles on the Second Floor of the library, all available for 1 month check out (if it has a barcode, it can be checked out)

Board Games

Get a group together for some healthy competition! A wide variety of board games can be found on the Second Floor that are available for 1 week check out.

Watch movies for free using tools from the library and the DRC! Head to the Lower Level to peruse our DVD collection and check out an external disc drive at the DRC desk to watch movies on your laptop. You can even pick up a projector (and the necessary cables/adapters depending on your set up) and turn your room into a home theatre!

Arts & Crafts

Explore your creativity and start up a new project! There's a wide-variety of arts & craft supplies available at the Idea Lab on the Second Floor of the library. Check out their GCal for events and workshops throughout the semester!

Looking to bring a little more life into your space? The Reading Room is home to the Macalester library's Plant Swap, where you can choose a propagation to be your new plant friend.
