What are the legal and ethical considerations regarding the use of data in your research? What intellectual property rights and data ownership issues should you be aware of? What are your responsibilities in protecting the rights, safety, and interests of any people involved in your research? There are many ethical and legal considerations to address during your research process. You need to understand them and include them in your data management plan. In addition, you will need to develop consent documents for any humans who are subjects of your research.
This module will cover copyright and licensing, and the ethics around citation, privacy, and academic integrity.
