Library Orientation for Staff: Getting Started

To extend our greetings to new staff, we've created this guide for you to learn about us and what we have to offer. As a member of the Macalester community, you have access to a vast array of library resources and services, from requesting physical library and interlibrary loan items for contactless pickup to exploring electronic options in over 250+ databases.

If you have any questions, please Ask Us.

We also welcome you to schedule a virtual consultation with a Research & Instruction Librarian to learn more and ask questions. Our primary focus is Information Literacy instruction and helping students with research projects, but we can also help you with your professional research by helping you expand your search or providing tips to track down hard to find information.

We are excited for you to take advantage of everything that the library has to offer. Happy exploring!
